Japanese 12-in-1 Weave, just as European Weave, is a chainmaille pattern that has existed for hundreds and hundreds of years. Unlike European patterns that see the layering of identical-sized rings, Japanese Weaves traditionally use two different ring sizes woven side-by-side to create geometrical patterns.

Handflowers, also sometimes known as slave bracelets, offer an opportunity to create a really spectacular piece of jewellery that encompasses the entire hand. The traditional chainmaille bracelet is built up to cover the back of the hand and then attached to either a chain (as is in this kit) or a fixed ring worn around the middle finger. Jens Pind Linkage (also known as JPL) is a stunning round chain that is part of the spiral family of chainmaille weaves. This weave requires a very specific size of jump ring in order to keep its tight spiral shape and has been known to cause confusion with many weavers since you must keep spiraling the chain in the same direction (i.e., follow these directions very closely!).
